Thomas Krolicki

Vice President of Community Based Programs and Chief Operating Officer of Michigan Counseling Centers

Master of Social Work from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI

I began my career in 1988 as a juvenile probation officer, and in 1989 I joined Wolverine Human Services as a Residential Treatment Specialist. As my experiences grew, I went back to school to earn my Master’s Degree in Social Work. I specialized in mental health and family systems. Having over 25 years of experience with Wolverine Human Services, I have had the pleasure to work in both the residential treatment and community-based sides of our WHS continuum of care. Both offer unique challenges and are extremely important in meeting the needs of our children and families.
In addition to my work within our traditional programs I was able to be part of the Development Department, and serve as a participating member of our Executive Team, Administrative Team and our newest addition to our continuum of care: Michigan Counseling Centers (MCC) offering outpatient mental health counseling services to those in our community as well as the children and families that we serve.

In addition to my role with Wolverine Human Services, I am also a Social Work Field Advisor for many of our Colleges and Universities, and I had served as an active Board Member with Big Family of Michigan, one of our important partner agencies.

I am constantly looking for ways to enhance policy, improve outcomes, and to advocate for those in need by Helping Children to be Victors.

The best parts of my job are the stories. The stories of the children, the staff, and the families. Everyone has a story and I am blessed to hear many!
