Wolverine Secure Treatment Center2424 N. Outer Drive Saginaw, MI 48601 P: (989) 776-0400 F: (989) 823-2810Located in Buena Vista Township, Michigan, the WSTC program is a secure residential treatment program for delinquent males, ages 12-21. The program utilizes perimeter fencing; audio and video surveillance and all rooms are fully locked. Clients participate in individual, group and family counseling and therapy. Specialized programming is offered for substance abuse, sexual offending and mental health. Regular/Special Education is provided on site through Buena Vista Public Schools with GED and/ or college classes available as well. Clients placed into WSTC typically are the most severely delinquent clients kept in the juvenile system for treatment and rehabilitation. Clients are placed into secure units of ten each and all sleeping rooms are licensed by the State of Michigan as Behavior Management Rooms. Program Activities and Services Reality Therapy and Behavior Modification Clients may be placed at Wolverine Secure up to the age of 21 depending upon the court's wishes. Clients completing the program may be eligible to utilize one or more of the step-down options offered by Wolverine to less structured settings. Those settings include: Clarence Fischer Leadership Academy, Pioneer Work and Learn, Victor's Center, St. Jude's Home for Boys and Community Based Programs. |
