First of all, we owe a huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in our first-ever #GivingTuesday!! We had over 1,000 people donate, and many more who helped spread the word on Facebook, Twitter, email, and just talking to their friends and families!

It is amazing how many different people care about investing in the future of Detroit, and supporting our work to give Detroit kids high-quality rehabilitative and educational services. We heard from people throughout Michigan, the United States, and even from the international community! A number of Canadians showed up on #GivingTuesday, and we received donations from as far away as Germany and Italy.
The generosity of our partners amazes us. The Marshall Mathers Foundation continues to be a source of inspiration—it was because of the incredible MMF team that #GivingTuesday a success at Wolverine. Without them, none of it would have been possible. Not only did they offer to match up to $100,000 in donations, but they also used their considerable online resources to bring attention to the work we do. Absopure was an amazing friend to us as well. They ran a Facebook campaign to get cases of water donated to our foster children—and they will be delivering 400 cases of bottled water!! Our children will be nice and hydrated for Christmas, thanks to this generous Michigan-based company!
Daly Merritt Insurance also supported the effort by donating $1 for every new Like that our Facebook page received—and we received over 800 new Likes! Thank you, Daly Merritt, for continuing to be such a supportive and generous longtime friend of Wolverine Human Services!
We feel so much gratitude for all the blessings brought in through this experience. With the help of our supporters and partners, we were able to raise $75,000!!! With the matching funds from the Marshall Mathers Foundation, we will have $150,000 for our kids!!
