Does Wolverine have any licenses, governing bodies, accreditations, certifications that ensure the quality of care for youth?

Yes, all Wolverine programs requiring licensure are licensed by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Child and Adult Licensing. Additionally, all programs on our Vassar and Saginaw campuses have integrated residential substance use disorder treatment licenses.

Wolverine has been accredited by the Council on Accreditation for over 20 years. We are currently accredited for overall operations, with accreditation in several services standards, including; residential services, substance use disorder services, juvenile justice residential services, foster care, adoptions, and specialized independent living.

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, all of Wolverine’s activities are governed by a Board of Trustees.
