School of Social Work

The President of Wolverine Human Services, Robert E. Wollack, and several employees are alumni of the School of Social Work at the University of Michigan. The Wollack Family has a longstanding philanthropic history with the School of Social Work and offers multiple internships for current University of Michigan MSW students. Upon graduation, WHS has a number of employment opportunities for alumni of the School of Social Work.

The Robert E. Wollack Story

Robert. E Wollack began his career on the other side of the justice system, as a decorated police officer in New York City. After falling into the corruption of the New York Police Department, Robert was a convicted felon without much hope for his future. However, The University of Michigan School of Social Work took a chance on Robert that resulted in the creation of the largest child welfare agency in the state of Michigan. Because of the opportunity that The University of Michigan granted to Robert, he was able to turn his mistakes and lessons into a program that provides second opportunities to youth in similar situations. Robert’s accecptance to The University of Michigan School of Social Work was the first step in developing Wolverine Human Services and the mission of “Helping Children to be Victors.”
