Vassar Community Pride Day was held on July 23, 2016 9am to 1pm at Riverbank near City Hall.

For the last 22 years, the Vassar Police Department and Wolverine Human Services have worked together with the Vassar Parks and Recreation committee to beautify and enhance the City of Vassar. This year we cleaned the river bank along the City Hall property to make viewing accessible for the upcoming Riverfest canoe races. It was a very hot day with lots of sunshine but we completed what we started. The area is cleared up, old trees and bushes cut out and viewing has never been better. Thanks to the kids from Wolverine, this would not have been close to getting finished.
