I began my career in 1977 at Hawthorn Center, Children’s Psychiatric Hospital. I specialized in Family Therapy and Child Therapy. I love working with children and families, and took on volunteer work in the Northville community, including serving on the Northville Board of Education for 8 years.
In addition to my work at Wolverine, I’m a Trustee on both the Eastern Michigan University Foundation and the Northville Education Foundation. I am the President of the Association of Accredited Child and Families Agencies (AACFA), working with state lawmakers to best meet the needs of Michigan’s children.
The best part of my job is greeting the kids in the programs—shaking their hands, asking their names, asking how they are. It makes my day to put a smile on their face!
