In February 2017, Bethany and James opened up their home and became a licensed foster home with Wolverine Human Services. In that time, they have fostered 10 children, adopted two and are currently fostering one. Bethany and James are selfless and caring. They are always willing to help the children in their care however possible. When they did have openings in their home, they provided short term care whenever necessary – even same day requests, and with no second thoughts. They truly are in it for the good of the children. They are patient, flexible and understanding. They even stayed at the hospital with a placement for over 2 weeks straight and they always focused on keeping siblings together. When the team started discussing who would be our nominee for the 2020 Creating Hope Award, this family’s name came up from each department. We are super proud to be a part of their amazing journey.
