“I like working for the youth and providing them with something that I did not receive as a child”
Mr. Derrick Lee has been at WHS since the end of last year as a Youth Care Worker at WGRC. Lee likes working at Wolverine because he likes to work with youth and do things for them that nobody did for him as a child. He likes working with kids because they need the most attention. Lee feels like a big kid at heart so it’s fulfilling to him to try and relate with them and help show them a better way of life. He works second shift and enjoys his interactive time with the kids, sharing his life-stories and communicating with them. One thing he would like to see implemented is more outings and outdoor activities that he will participate in as well.
