In January 2018, Wolverine Human Services opened the WGRC Vassar Shelter Program, which is short term emergency programming for male clients age 12-17. The WGRC Vassar Shelter Program strives to provide assessment, placement planning, crisis intervention, and short-term treatment to young men who are in a state of transition due to removal from home or placement, or other circumstances. The program offers highly structured and individualized onsite educational programming with transferable high school credits, family team meetings, family visits with transportation offered, like skills training, a fully equipped gymnasium and outdoor recreation areas, and recreational activities.
