On Dec 22nd, we hosted a holiday party for our Vassar clients in care!!
The holidays can be a tough time for many of our kids. Being separated from family brings up many challenging emotions, and our staff work extra hard during this time to find moments of connection and support with each client. We try to do everything we can to help, which includes special activities to put a smile on the faces of our kids!
We have to thank Operation Good Cheer for the AMAZING work they do! They are year-round Christmas elves, collecting items to deliver to our kids each year.
And THANK YOU to Santa and his elf, all the way from the north pole!!
(Shh…don’t tell the kids, but Santa is Scott Forbes, Program Manager at Vassar House, and his elf is Ann Goss, Clinical Assistant! Thanks for making the day extra special, Scott and Ann!!)
